Hurricanes
The excitement of championship soccer comes to life, with all the behind-the-scenes, off-the-field drama and action included, in this animated series featuring an international cast of characters traveling to exotic international locales around the world as members of the international soccer team called Hurricanes. The stories are not just about soccer. They're about competition and teamwork, winning and losing, and the moments of glory and the agony of defeat. American teenager Amanda Carey, thanks to an unexpected inheritance, becomes the Hurricanes'' new owner/manager. Based on the island of Hispanola, the characters include the diverse, international personalities who make up the first string, and the eccentric coach, his son the physician, and one unruly mascot. Amanda must turn this oddball collection of strong-willed individuals into a winning team -- or lose them. But there's a problem: their bitter arch-rivals, the Gorgons, owned by multi-billionaire Starvos Garkos, are the dirtiest team in soccer, and they're dedicated to defeating the Hurricanes at any cost. When they get together, it's Storm time!
