The Legend of Zelda
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA is an animated fantasy-adventure (with a good deal of comedy) based on the celebrated Nintendo videogame. Its two main stars are LINK a fifteen-year-old adventurer) and ZELDA (a princess of the same age) who fight with monsters, ghosts, icky creatures and each other as they try to save the kingdom of HYRULE from the dark depredations of the evil wizard GANON. The show's strong sense of humor and undercurrents of a budding romance between the two leads easily set THE LEGEND OF ZELDA far above other animated offerings of the sword-and-sorcery genre.
